Student Life
At Rise Prep, we believe important growth happens beyond the classroom. Our small school community allows students to try activities beyond their perceived interests. Go beyond niches and cliques to develop facets of yourself you didn’t know you had and make friends you might otherwise miss.
Athletics
Develop mind, body and soul as you participate in athletics at Rise. Rise Prep Panthers are associate members of CIF/CCS. We proudly represent the school in athletics in the following seasons.
Fall: Cross Country (boys and girls), Varsity Soccer (boys)
Winter: JV Basketball (boys), Varsity Basketball (boys and girls)
Spring: Track and Field (boys and girls)
Service
Too often we see community service as an activity to check off a list. At Rise, we see it as both a practice that shapes our character and a practice that arises from it. We offer many opportunities to get involved in the neighborhood and serve this blessed place that is our home.
Partner organizations:
RefuseRefuse: Neighborhood cleanup and beautification
Heron’s Head: Landscaping and nature surveying
SF/Marin Food Bank: Food packaging for those with food insecurity
Greenagers: Place based projects serving the environment
BMagic: Backpack giveaway
Mobilize Love: Food or service distribution
Art and Music
We invite you into visual expression, musical vocalization, and creative design through our art and music offerings. Taught by instructors who love and know their craft, students will practice, hone, and present their work to authentic audiences.

Experience Week
At the heart of our school year is Experience Week, a 4-day trip that provides every student an opportunity to bond with classmates and experience a larger world beyond the classroom and their neighborhood. The Experience is tailored uniquely for each class.
9th grade: Camping in Santa Cruz mountains at Henry Cowell where students bond through hiking, campfires, and working together.
10th grade: Tour of Bay Area colleges (UC Merced, Santa Clara University, UC Santa Cruz, and San Jose State) while staying together at a retreat center.
11th grade: Tour of Southern California colleges (UCLA, Loyola Marymount University, and USC)
12th grade: An outdoor educational experience at Lake Siskiyou where students set up camp, cook, hike, and learn about the local habitat.
