2024 Literacy for Environmental Justice

Rise’s upperclassmen partnered with Literacy for Environmental Justice to do some restoration work at Candlestick Point. We learned about native plant species and what the indigenous Ohlone people used them for, like the sticky monkey flower as a natural Band Aid. We also got to kayak in the Bay and enjoy the amazing weather. 10/10 would do again! Thank you LEJ for your partnership and work in the City!
